The Weekend

Am dogsitting this weekend , 2 Japanese Spitz, I have been left a rigorous walking schedule, frequently, as we are apartment bound. They are keeping me company too.

Midtown

Was just on my way down to Union Square to do a bit of grocery shopping, all hell had broken loose in Midtown with a 1924 vintage steam pipe having exploded. The streets were packed with people as all office buildings in the area had been evacuated and the masses of people that normally file into Grand Central couldn't as it was closed. Midtown turned to gridlock (which I can assure you is nothing unusual)

The steam just kept spewing out it was quite a sight.

I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Jr., former chief of staff for the Vice President has been pardoned, oops has had his jail sentence commuted by The President. If the Bush administration had any credibility left it now does not.
Libby was convicted of lying to the F.B.I. and a grand jury regarding details of the leaking of the identity of a covert C.I.A. agent, Valerie Plame. Plame's husband, a former Diplomat, Joseph Wilson, was correctly outspoken about how flawed the intelligence was for invading Iraq in 2003.
